The Permanent Option for Replacement Teeth

Tooth loss may be due to trauma, extraction, or other reasons. When a tooth is missing, the remaining space must be filled to prevent the adjacent teeth from shifting. This shifting can cause serious problems with chewing, speaking, and appearance. If you have lost one or more teeth, dental implants are the permanent, natural-looking and functioning option for tooth replacement.

Implants vs. Dentures and Bridges

Some patients choose to replace missing teeth with dentures, which are removable. Denture-wearers must deal with irritation from the denture rubbing the gum, ensuring the denture is secure at all times, and removing it for cleaning. Bridges are replacement teeth attached to the teeth on each side of the space. Those adjacent teeth must be filed to accommodate the attachment. Neither option provides the permanent, full-function, natural appearance that implants do.Implants vs. Dentures and Bridges
