Mayra Santamaria
Mayra was born in California and moved to Southwest Florida at a young age. In 2019, Mayra graduated from Florida Southwestern State College with an Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She graduated as Class Valedictorian and was rewarded the Professionalism Award. Mayra also became certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Mayra then continued her education and in 2020 and graduated with honors from St. Petersburg State College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
Mayra’s interest in dentistry began when she saw her mother go through Periodontal Disease. This is where her passion for Dental Hygiene was born. Mayra is motivated to help others by educating to help increase oral health awareness.
Mayra is proud to be a part of Horizon One Dental where she can share her knowledge and skills while providing a safe, caring, and calm environment.
Mayra enjoys reading, practicing Pilates, and spending time with her husband, family, and dog.
